How do I get help?
Region Ten Community Services Board is a large agency that can be complicated to navigate. In order to help you through the process, Region Ten has a department dedicated to helping you understand the intake and entry procedures. We will guide you in seeking services to fit your needs. The Access and Intake process begins with a simple phone call to (434)972-1800. For those residing in our outlying counties Access Services are available at each county clinic as follows:

In order to acquaint you with the services we provide, below is a brief description of our centers of excellence. Scroll down for listing of Services in each Center of Excellence.
Center for Access and Adult Clinical Services - This Center provides intake and access services for the agency and focuses on mental health and substance addiction outpatient services for adults.
Center for Adult Development Services - This center provides supports and services to adults with intellectual disabilities.
Center for Adult Rehabilitation Services - This center provides supports and services to adults requiring mental health services.
Center for Child and Family Services - This center focuses on children's services and families supportive services.
Center for Emergency Services and Case Management - This center provides emergency services, hospital liaison services, and includes case management for persons with intellectual disabilities and individuals with serious mental illness.
Center for Quality Improvement and Standards - This center focuses on agency compliance, training, and human resources.
Center for Rural Services - This center focuses on services in counties of Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa and Nelson.
The wealth of services at Region Ten are typically obtained by referral from Region Ten's Access Department. To contact Region Ten's Access Department please call (434)-972-1800 and ask for an intake appointment.
The Access department can guide you in identifying and entry into services at Region Ten. Many times, a person will be referred to case management services, who also coordinate, monitor and link individuals into services.

Am I Eligible for Services?
Except for many Medicaid Waiver services, many programs require that individuals should reside in the Region Ten catchment area. This includes Charlottesville city, and the counties of Albemarle, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa and Nelson. Region Ten program entrance criteria differs by funding source and targeted individuals served. The Access department of Region Ten is available to answer specific questions about program intake.
What about costs?
The cost of services depend on the type of program or service you choose. Because Region Ten has such a wide variety of programs and funding streams, costs vary from full fee (such as Adult Developmental Services congregate residential programs) to sliding scale fee (such as many Mental Health and Substance Abuse Outpatient Services). The Access Department can provide you with information about program costs.
What about Emergencies?
Region Ten is available duing an emergency to provide prescreening services to admission to psychiatric facilities. If you are experiencing a behavioral health emergency, please call (434) 972-1800.
