David Smith supervises all rural education support services staff
Services available:
Outpatient Counseling - mental health evaluations, and supportive counseling for children, adults and families with emotional problems
Crisis Management - Services provided to assist in times of psychiatric crisis
Case Management - A supportive assistant helping those with mental health and/or intellectual disabilities (mental retardation) connect with the services they need
Substance Abuse - substance abuse evaluations, and group and individual treatment for persons struggling with drugs and/or alcohol
Anger Management - therapeutic classes for those having difficulty with anger or violence
Educational Support Services - Mental Health services provided to children at school. Through one-on-one, small group coaching and monitoring, children learn new ways of handling their emotions and getting along with others. ESS staff are bachelor-level behavioral specialists trained in crisis intervention, anger management and social skills training.
