there is a current opening available is listed under one of
the five Region Ten divisions: Access/Quality Assurance, Administrative
Services, Mental Health Services, Mental Retardation Services
and Outpatient and Substance Abuse Services Disorders.

ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES
Maintenance Systems Manager
Organized and self-sufficient individual needed to perform
a wide variety of repair and maintenance tasks for all Region
Ten sites. Duties include assessing work requests, assuring
maintenance and general upkeep, continually evaluating and
developing centralized Property Management systems and maintaining
transactions and record keeping. Incumbent supervises maintenance
technicians and various hourly staff. Working knowledge of
repair and maintenance practices and equipment and materials
used in skilled trades preferred. Salary is $42,997.33.
CENTER FOR ACCESS AND CASE MANAGEMENT
Clinician, Access (50%)/Outpatient (50%)
This is a full-time, split responsibility position. The incumbent
will provide initial assessments for the Access Team and short-term
psychotherapy for the Adult Outpatient Team. The diverse group
of individuals served includes, but is not limited to, those
with chemical dependence and/or mental illness. It also includes
individuals who are difficult to engage in treatment and court-ordered
felons. The position requires excellent diagnostic skills
and experience providing treatment to individuals with co-occurring
disorders, using the full-range of evidence-based interventions
and knowledge of psychiatric medications and their side effects.
Licensure as an LCSW or LPC is preferred. $2,500 licensure
differential is available to those who qualify. Salary is
$39,290.08.
Clinician, Emergency Services (50%)
Provide crisis assessment, intervention, stabilization and
referral assistance to
persons with mental health, mental retardation, and substance
abuse issues.
Contacts occur both over the phone and face-to-face, in the
office and in the
community, and include short term crisis counseling. Master’s
degree in human services field required. This position is
20 hours weekly with some evenings required. Licensure differential
available for those who qualify. Salary at 50% is $20,572.12.
CENTER FOR ADULT CLINICAL SERVICES
Clinician, Substance Abuse
Join a team of compassionate professionals providing services
to chemically
dependent or abusing individuals. Incumbent will be responsible
for providing
assessment, individual and group counseling, education, and
clinical case
management to people enrolled in Region Ten SA services. Bachelor's
degree
required; candidates must possess substance abuse certification,
hold a license in a related human services field, or be eligible
to have one of these certifications within two years of employment.
Occasional evening and weekend hours are required. Salary
is $35,583.89.
CENTER FOR ADULT DEVELOPMENTAL SERVICES
Day Support Facilitator
Join the Meadowcreek team in providing direct care and day
support services to adults with intellectual disabilities.
This position provides instruction and assists with personal
care in a community center setting. The Facilitator will work
with Meadowcreek consumers to create and implement activity
plans and assist them in reaching their goals. Salary is $24,463.20.
Direct Care Coordinator
The Coordinator serves as the primary liaison between medical
professionals and consumers, accurately reporting information
and communicating in a clear and concise manner. Teaches skills,
including community integration and daily living skills, to
program participants. Reviews participants' medications and
coordinates participants' Individual Service Plans. A 4-year
degree in special education or related field is required.
Two years of applicable work experience in human services
is preferred. Four positions are available. Schedule is Sun-Thurs
or Tues-Sat. Salary is $30,023.54.
CENTER FOR ADULT REHABILITATION SERVICES
MH Support Services III (Carlton)
Join an organized and thoughtful team of mental health professionals
providing
residential services to those with serious mental illness.
The MHSS provider crafts individual service plans, provides
instruction in daily living skills, provides assistance obtaining
community resources, and offers much counseling and support
to clients within a supervised apartment program. Applicant
must hold a Bachelor's degree in a human services field and
have one year experience working with individuals with mental
illness (internship/practicum may be included). Schedule is
Tuesday-Saturday, 1:30-9:30pm. Salary is $30,023.54.
Psychosocial Specialist (BRH)
Positive, recovery-oriented individual needed to work at the
Blue Ridge House, a psychosocial rehabilitation program for
adults recovering from mental illness. This position will
coordinate the social programming at BRH, organizing community
outings and social events for clubhouse members. Additional
duties include assessing member needs, assisting in goal development,
and working with other treatment providers. This is an excellent
opportunity for the MH professional who would like to work
in a creative and collaborative environment. Must have a Bachelor's
degree in human services field and one year of related experience,
four years direct clinical experience, or an equivalent combination
of education and experience. Schedule will be Tues-Sat with
Wed evening hours. Salary is $30,023.54.
CENTER FOR CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICES
Child Aide (ESS)
Child Aide position providing community-based mentoring and
social/recreational support as part of the Education Support
Services program of Region Ten. Positive role model provides
social and recreational therapeutic experiences for middle
and elementary school children by assisting ESS workers. This
is a temporary position for the summer months. Hourly rate
is $11.76.
Program Manager, Educational Support Services
Program Manager needed to help lead the coordination of school-based
behavior management program. Skills in mental health assessment,
diagnosis, and clinical supervision are a must. This career
track position also requires experience with oversight of
clinical documentation and compliance with Medicaid regulations.
A Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or related
human services field is required. Additionally, a minimum
of two years experience providing clinical services to children
and families and one year experience providing mental health
supervision or program oversight are required. Licensure and
experience providing school-based services preferred. Salary
is $44,850.43.
Therapeutic Behavioral Specialist
Creative and dynamic in-home team seeking energetic colleague
to work with
children and families, providing individual counseling and
skill building to youth and parents. Requires Bachelor's degree
in mental health field plus one year related experience. Must
have acceptable driving record. Master's degree and/or bilingual
skills a plus. Salary is $30,023.54.
CENTER FOR RURAL SERVICES
Clinician, Substance Abuse (Louisa)
Incumbent responsible for providing substance abuse assessment,
treatment
planning, and service delivery tailored to the individual
needs of clients with
substance addictions. Should have knowledge of anger management
techniques, mental health and other co-occurring conditions,
and their impact on treatment planning. Will conduct groups
and ASAP classes, provide some case management, BAC and drug
screening for clients. Position requires excellent organizational,
time management, and writing skills; flexibility; and self-motivation.
A Master's degree in a behavioral sciences field is preferred;
either a certification to work in the field of addictions
(CSAC) or at least 1 year working with persons diagnosed with
both mental illness and substance abuse issues is required.
Salary is $35,583.89.
MH Support Services II (Friendly Oaks)
This position serves as a psychosocial assistant at Friendly
Oaks in Louisa, a
clubhouse program for adults recovering from mental illness.
Duties include
conducting social, recreational, and daily living skills training;
supporting members in understanding and managing their illnesses,
and assisting individuals as they work on their individual
goals. Two years experience in human services preferred. Hourly
rate is $11.76.
MH Support Services III (Louisa)
Exciting work with a small team, providing mental health support
services in a rural community setting. Incumbent will spend
most of his/her time in the community, assisting individuals
with activities of daily living, accessing community resources,
and maintaining their personal health and safety. Bachelor's
degree in human services with one year of clinical experience
required. Salary is $30,023.54.
